Last updated 1 August 2026. By using NomNum you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Most important: NomNum is an educational tool. It is not medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice and is no substitute for a doctor or registered dietitian. Always seek professional advice before making significant dietary changes, and never delay or disregard professional advice because of something the app showed you.
NomNum helps you portion familiar Indian meals toward general targets it calculates from the details you enter, using peer-reviewed equations. Every number is an educational estimate, not a diagnosis, prescription, or treatment plan, and individual results vary.
You must be 18 or older. Some higher-risk situations are not something a general nutrition tool can safely plan around on its own, for example an extreme weight goal, or diets that need specialist medical supervision such as type 1 or insulin-treated diabetes, kidney disease or dialysis, liver disease, heart failure, pregnancy or breastfeeding, an eating disorder, recent bariatric surgery, severe allergy or anaphylaxis, active cancer treatment, tube or IV feeding, or any clinician-prescribed therapeutic diet. For those, the app disables the personalised recommendation and asks you to confirm that a doctor or registered dietitian has approved your use before re-enabling it. This is an evidence-based safety step, not a judgment about you, general recipe information stays available either way, and you can reach us for a manual accommodation if you cannot use the in-app step.
Using NomNum does not create a doctor–patient, dietitian–client, or any other professional relationship, and the app does not practise medicine or dietetics.
Optional AI features suggest dishes and plans from our own catalog and food database. You review every suggestion before it is added. Dish nutrition is computed by the app from its cited ingredient data, not taken from the AI; the one exception is an ingredient the app cannot match at all, where the AI returns a clearly labelled estimate that you review and confirm before it is saved. AI output can still be imperfect, treat it as a starting point.
NomNum provides general food, recipe, and meal-planning information for consumer wellness. It does not provide medical nutrition therapy, does not manage any medical condition, and does not assess whether a diet is clinically appropriate for you. Where a clinician sign-off is required, the app records only your confirmation that an appropriately qualified professional approved your use, it does not itself make any medical judgment.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NomNum is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its output. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that exclusion is not permitted.
We may update these terms; material changes will be dated above. For any question about these terms or your data, contact us via the address shown in the app's ⚙️ Account screen. See also our Privacy Policy.
